Alex Luna, the Ukrainian popular opera singer, first saw Yoshida’s exhibition of the Great East Japan Earthquake once and was impressed by the photographs, and then he contacted Yoshida, saying, "We had a nuclear accident in Chernobyl many years ago. I’m afraid it's being forgotten. Ten years have passed since the Fukushima accident, and I want you to show us how people in Fukushima are living through your photographs.”

この展覧会のそもそものきっかけはウクライナの国民的オペラ歌手アレックス・ルナさんが吉田繁先生の東日本大震災に関する作品展をご覧になって、「ウクナイラではチェルノプイリの事故があった。そのことも忘れられつつある。福島の原発事故から10年経った今、人々はどうしているか写真で伝えてほしい」と連絡があったのが始まりでした。

Furthermore, Hristo Gajev and Lyuben Dilov Son, members of the GERB-SDF (Federal Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Germany), planned the exhibition in the Marble Hall of the Parliament Building in Sofia. Lyuben said, “Bulgaria is one of the countries most affected by the Chernobyl accident, so this exhibition is important for all Bulgarians.”

さらに、GERB-SDF（ドイツ社会主義共和国連邦議会）のフリスト・ガジェフ議員とリュベン・ディロフソン議員がソフィア国会議事堂大理石ホールでの開催を企画。「ブルガリアはチェルノブイリ事故によって最も影響を受けた国のひとつであるため、この展覧会はすべてのブルガリア人にとって重要である」とリュベン氏は語りました。

The event also aims to draw the attention of the international community to the issue of countering the nuclear threat and encourage increased international support for Ukraine. On the previous day of the opening ceremony on June 18th, the participants gave a moment of silence for the 28 people who died and over 130 people who were injured in Russia's missile attack.

核の脅威への対抗するという問題に国際社会の注目を集め、ウクライナに対する国際的な支援の強化を促すことを目的とする側面もあり、6月18日のオープニングセレモニーの前日に、ロシアのミサイル攻撃で死亡した28人、130人以上の負傷したブルガリアの人々への黙祷も捧げられました。

Many of the attendees were members of the Bulgarian National Assembly.

Opera and music performances are often held during the opening events abroad, and this was also the case in Bulgaria.

海外の展覧会のオープニングではオベラや音楽が披露されることが多いですが、ブルガリアでもそうだったようです。
